What’s one beauty trend that’s just as relevant now as it was for our mothers? Having sooty, thick, lusciously long eyelashes. But whereas the women who came before us relied on clever tricks with eyeliner and loaded up on inky mascara – including those cringe-worthy spider-lashes every celebrity had for an entire decade – we have the advantage of artistry on our side. At The Botox Bar in Dallas, TX we believe the secret to beautiful eyes is lashes: full set lashes, that is.

What Treatments Are Available From Brandee?
When it comes to lashes Dallas, full set lashes or otherwise, the first thing you should know is that it’s always best to visit a lash professional. Not only will the treatment be safer, but the results will be more elegant and natural-looking. Because isn’t that the point of lash extensions? All the glamor of gorgeous eyelashes without any of the artificial cosmetics that weigh your eyes down.
At The Botox Bar, we offer three industry-leading lash extension treatments, including:
Mega Volume Fullset $200
Mega Volume Lashes are full set lashes and currently one of the most popular types of lash extensions available to clients. For this lash treatment, Mega Volume means that for every natural lash, there are 8 to 12 artificial lash extensions. This treatment is ideal for women who want the fullest and darkest lashes possible. Mega Volume Fullset mimics the thickness of false lashes with a natural-looking result.
Mega Volume Fill $90
Mega Volume Fill is to refill any lashes between your full set lashes appointments. Typically a Mega Volume Fill will refill up to 8 artificial lashes per natural eyelash. Mega Volume lashes are meant to be touch-ups, but if you schedule your fill appointments close enough then full set lashes treatments may not be necessary.
Volume Fullset $170
Volume Fullset lashes are full set lashes with a moderate amount of artificial lashes. For this treatment, there are 2 to 7 extensions placed per natural eyelash and the length of the extensions is slightly shorter. What this means is that Volume Fullset lashes are full set lashes with a natural appearance.
FAQs About Lashes, Full Set Lashes, and More
1. What Do Lashes Dallas Treat?
Eyelash Extension Dallas are used for many reasons. Some women want to save time with messy cosmetics that flake off during the day or that aren’t as waterproof as they claim to be, like mascara and eyeliner. Other women use lash extensions to achieve a desired aesthetic appearance without the hassle of false eyelashes. And the third category of women uses eyelash extensions as a treatment for short, thin, or sparse natural eyelashes.
It’s this third category that Lashes Dallas treatments were originally used to treat. Women who suffer from certain medical disorders, or who naturally grow light eyelashes struggle to achieve the dark fullness that other women are born with. Eyelash extensions solve the problem of short eyelashes by extending the reach and visibility of the lashes with artificial lashes that are usually measured .03mm, .07mm, or .015mm.
2. What’s the Difference Between a Full Set and a Fill?
Not sure what type of lashes treatment you should try? First, you need to start with the basics, which is telling lashes treatments apart.
For lashes, full set lashes are an initial or regularly-scheduled treatment that places a certain amount of extensions on each natural eyelash. Depending on how fluffy or natural-looking you want the results to be, a full set lashes treatment will use anywhere from 1 to 12 artificial lashes per each natural eyelash, instantly boosting the plushness and thickness of your eyelashes.
Fill lashes, on the other hand, are in-between treatments that act as touch-ups between your full set treatments. Fill lashes do exactly what they say, which is refill any lashes that are lost due to natural shedding or cosmetic products. It’s typical for most lashes clients to have at least one fill appointment between full sets to maintain the desired appearance.
3. How Are Lashes Made?
Artificial lashes used for lash extension treatments have to come from somewhere, right? In fact, lash extensions have been used since 1902-1903 and have seen a full evolution of trends and materials that are used to create them. Today, there are several materials that are involved in creating natural-looking false eyelashes, including mink, silk, synthetic plastic materials, or horsehairs.
The type of lashes you use might factor into your treatment. For example, some people who have allergies to certain types of fur might only be able to use synthetic lashes. Please speak with Brandee about all of your lash options during your consultation.
4. What Are the Steps for Lash Treatment?
Whatever treatment you decide for your lashes, there will always be a few steps. Both full set lashes and fill lashes follow the same preparation guidelines and treatment steps – which means arriving at your treatment appointment with a freshly-washed face, wearing no eye cosmetics, and being prepared to sit down for a while. The steps for lash treatment include:
Step One: Under-Eye Stickers
Brandee will place under-eye stickers along your lower lash line that act as a barrier between your upper and lower lashes. These are either paper stickers or gel patches that will prevent any of the lash glue from reaching your bottom lashes. Why does this matter? Since your eyes will be closed during the treatment, we want to make sure that the lashes Dallas are being placed perfectly.
Step Two: Choose Extensions
Brandee will help you chose at least 3 different extension lengths to produce the desired result. Shorter extensions are used near the inner-eye, while longer extensions are used on the outer eye. This is also the point where you confirm the type of lashes that you want – either the fluffy, very full Mega Volume full set, or the Volume full set. This choice will also determine the best extensions for your treatment.
Step Three: Placement
This is the main portion of the treatment. Your artificial lashes will be picked up, dipped into a special adhesive, and then placed on an isolated natural eyelash. The placement is done very carefully so that no visible beads of glue can be seen and so that each artificial lash is placed perfectly. Brandee will work both eyes at one time, alternating between lash placements to give the glue time to dry. This will be done until each natural lash is paired with an extension.
Step Four: Separation
The final step of your treatment will be separating the lashes. This final sweep makes sure that each of the extensions is independent so that there is no clumping. This is done while the extension is dry but not entirely cured, so there is ample time to make sure that each lash is placed perfectly.
5. How Long Does a Lash Treatment Take?
You can expect to be seated for a while when you have a lash treatment. For a full set of lashes, your treatment could take about 2 hours to complete; fills may take about 30 minutes to an hour depending on how many lashes need to be refilled.
6. Are Lash Treatments Safe?
Yes! Lash treatments are safe for you, your eye, and your natural lashes. This is because we use a special adhesive that is compatible with most people. If you have certain allergies, please let Brandee know so you can explore different adhesive options.
7. Will You Need a Consultation Every Time?
Yes and no. You will have a first-time consultation before you get your first lash extension so Brandee can go over how lash extensions work, the dos and don’ts of having them, and the results you can expect from treatment. But after your first consultation, you shouldn’t need to have anything more complicated than a follow-up consult that confirms the treatment you are having. The exception might be if you want to switch from one full set treatment to another.
8. How Long Do Lashes Last?
You can expect the results of your full set lashes to last for about 3 to 4 weeks at a time. This is because the lash extensions are placed on your natural lashes, which go through the same shedding process as the rest of your hair and skin cells, meaning you are constantly growing new lashes.
Is It Normal to Lose Some Lashes?
Yes, it’s perfectly normal to lose about 1 to 5 lashes each day due to normal eyelash shedding. Losing some lashes is not a cause for panic. However, if you lose enough lashes between your full set appointments, you may need to schedule a fill appointment to maintain your results. Typically, if you have lost less than 50% of your lash extensions between appointments, then you are qualified for a fill appointment.
9. How Frequently Should You Have Treatments?
The frequency of your treatments depends on a few things, such as how fast your normal lashes shed, how many lash extensions you have, and how well you take care of your extensions. Most clients opt to have an appointment twice a month or every other week to maintain desired results.
10. Can You Wear Mascara?
Technically, you can wear mascara after your lashes have fully cured, but most women find that mascara is no longer necessary with lash extensions. In fact, we discourage clients from using mascara as that may cause lashes to fall out early, especially during mascara removal.
11. How Do You Take Care of Lash Extensions?
Taking care of your lash extensions is absolutely vital to getting the most out of each treatment, and that’s why there are some habits you should have and some habits you should kick.
The best habits to have include:
- Keep lashes dry
- Use oil-controlling products on the face
- Use foaming lash cleanser 1 to 2 times per week
The bad habits to kick include:
- Using oily cleansers or make-up removers
- Touching or rubbing lashes
- Getting lashes or face wet within 24 hours of treatment
- Exposing lashes to excess heat or sunlight
- Using additional false lashes
12. Are You a Good Candidate for Lash Extensions?
Any woman who is interested in having full, thick, and gorgeous eyelashes is a prime candidate for this treatment. Lashes, full set lashes, and fill lashes are good options for those who want to boost their eyelash game without any hassle from messy products. You may be a good candidate for this lash treatment if you have:
- Short lashes
- Sparse lashes
- Light-colored lashes
